THE FEAR OF FAILURE

There are two common ways to look at failure:

"Failure is a disaster" vs. "Failure is an opportunity to learn".

The way you choose to look at it will determine how far you tap into your true potential. Those who see it as "disaster" will live in the fear and never grow beyond mediocrity because their fear of failure exceeds their will to succeed. But those who see the "opportunity to learn" can climb to dizzying heights of accomplishment!

The fear of failure can keep you from evaluating what you could have done differently to succeed. It is critical to examine our actions and our work. If we are afraid to fail we are less likely to thoroughly evaluate our performance because we don't want to know our shortcomings. It is only when we examine our faults that we can improve. And without this evaluation we are destined to fail to excel.
