IS TRANSFORMATION POSSIBLE

It sounds great. I am going to transform into what I am meant to be! It is a noble adventure to set out on. But the question that must be answered is... Is it REALLY possible to TRANSFORM? If we don't believe it is possible, then we will never make any transformation.
You can only truly know if transformation is possible when you actually EXPERIENCE transformation in yourself. You can never know how an experience will affect you unless you actually EXPERIENCE it. So to answer the e question of is transformation possible you must experience it first. Have you ever experienced transformation, personally? In August of 2020 I watched a Netflix series called "Down To Earth". It caused me to really look at my habits of eating and living in this earth. It sparked a desire to learn more about the food I eat and how I interact with our planet. As a result of my quest to gain knowledge, I began to THINK differently. This resulted in a lifestyle change. And this lifestyle change produced immediate results that felt great. I also experienced that this lifestyle change was easy because I really believed in it. And I believed in it because I did the research and then did the work on myself.
I began to witness transformation in how I thought about a certain topic and in my body as well. The results were evident. And this solidified my understanding that transformation is possible. But that is just one example. Think about your own life. Think of ways you have transformed over the years. Some may be good and some bad but you have definitely witnessed transformation. And that is YOUR evidence that transformation IS POSSIBLE.
I also believe that transformation is possible because the God that created us also commanded us to be transformed. In Romans 12:2 we are told to...not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. If it were not a real possibility then we would have never been called to do it. However, it is also made clear that it will not be easy. "For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14). With that knowledge we must understand that we have to be "all in" to truly live out transformation. Transformation will almost always cause us to get uncomfortable, and that is scary!
If it is fear that holds us back, then it is courage that leads us forward. And courage is demanded in our lives of transformation. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV. Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Courage is more exhilarating than fear and in the long run it is easier." I welcome the exhilaration of courage in my life.
When you come to the conclusion that transformation is possible and that with courage you can experience real transformation, you are ready to begin the journey of transformative living.
